PRO BLACKOUT™ BRAND STICKS

Pro Blackout™ sticks are manufactured in a Pro Stock stick facility.  In short, this means that the sticks are made with a higher defence against the defects that can lead to early breakage.

As a Pro Stock stick, the manufacturer does not offer any warranty.  However, we at HockeyStickMan understand as well as anyone the heartbreaking feeling of seeing your stick snap in two.  With that in mind, we offer an in-house split warranty as follows on Pro Blackout™ sticks:

One-Week Full Credit - If a break meeting the below criteria is suffered within one week (7 days) of receiving a Pro Blackout™ product,  HockeyStickMan will grant a gift card credit for full value of the stick before taxes.

For example, if a break is suffered on a Pro Blackout™ Extra Lite (priced at $159.99), we will award a credit of $159.99 if the break has been suffered within 7 days of receiving of the stick.

1. Customers must provide evidence of the broken stick, either by bringing it to an HSM location or by filing their warranty claim online with the required photos, within one-week from purchase date, or arrival date in the case of shipping. Failure to provide evidence of the broken stick within one-week negates the full replacement warranty and the stick will be eligible for partial credit only.
2. Replacement sticks or items purchased with a full warranty credit come with no warranty as is standard with retail hockey stick purchases.

30-Day, 50% Coverage - If a break meeting the below criteria is suffered within 30 days of receiving a Pro Blackout™ product, HockeyStickMan will offer a credit of 50% of the stick's cost before taxes.  

For example, if a break is suffered on a Pro Blackout™ Extra Lite (priced at $159.99), we will award a credit of $80.00 if the break has been suffered within 30 days of receiving of the stick.

1. Customers must provide evidence of the broken stick, either by bringing it to an HSM location or by filing their warranty claim online with the required photos, within 30 days from purchase date, or arrival date in the case of shipping. Failure to provide evidence of the broken stick within 30 days negates any eligibility for partial credit.
2. Replacement sticks or items purchased with a split credit warranty are still eligible for HockeyStickMan’s standard warranty policy.

Value Blackouts™  - 30 Day Full Coverage - As an exception to the rule, Value Blackout™  sticks do come with a full 30-day coverage.  Breakage within 30 days of the receipt of the stick (or arrival date in the event of shipping) would be eligible for a one-time replacement.  Replacement of the exact stick purchased would be awarded in such a case.

While a fantastic value option at their price point, the Value Blackouts are not designed to Pro Stock stick standards, nor are they made of the top-end materials that Pro Blackouts™ are.  As such, we offer a full in-house replacement for these sticks.

WHAT CLASSIFIES AS A BREAK

The following damage would classify as a broken stick eligible for warranty:

1. A complete break in the shaft or blade of the stick.
2. A partial break or crack in the shaft or blade of the stick that renders the stick unusable.

WHAT DOES NOT CLASSIFY AS A BREAK

A stick may have the following damage, but does not qualify for a warranty:

1. Surface marks or scuffing.
2. Cosmetic scratch in the shaft or blade that does travel through the carbon fiber.
3. Soft or  “Spongy” blades that still hold full rigidity.
4. Whippy or “whipped-out” sticks
5. A chip in the blade or shaft

Please note, warranty only applies in circumstances of breakage during routine use.  Items abused, neglected, or misused are not applicable for warranty.
