If you're anything like us here at HockeyStickMan, you've been keeping a keen eye on what the boys at the Four Nations tournament have been rocking in practice so far. If you haven't, let me break it down for you.
Starting with Team Canada, Sidney Crosby is STILL rocking the CCM Ribcor Reckoner after all these years, coming in at 100 flex and with a P29-esque curve that is more flat in comparison, Sid is known for his superstitions but if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Connor McDavid is rocking his OG Super Tacks with his OG Blade at an 85 flex. It's such a classic stick and it's sick to see McDavid rocking this one.
The newest stick from True is the Project X Smoke, and we see Mitch Marner with this very stick, at 85 flex and using his T92 curve (very similar to the commonly used P28 curve). The coolest thing about the stick Mitchy is using for the tournament is the red and white Team Canada graphic. This stick is absolutely sick, what a way for True to show off their newest release.
Next we have a couple bangers coming from Team USA, starting off with captain Auston Matthews. As the only player in the NHL still using the CCM FT Ghost, we were a bit surprised to see Matthews rocking the CCM Vizion in pre tournament practice but still using the same specs as his FT Ghost, 85 flex and a P86. Perhaps Papi sees the Vizion and a switch to CCMs newest twig is imminent.
Both of the Tkachuk brothers were spotted using some sick twigs with an American flair on them, Brady with the True Project X Smoke with an American graphic, similar to Marner with the Canadian version, and Matthew with the Sherwood Code Encrypt Pro. Brady comes in at 105 flex with the T92 curve, and Matthew rocks the 80 flex with a PP92 curve.
Team Finland is looking sharp out there with few twigs we thought were worth highlighting. Powerplay legend and Montreal Canadien Patrik Laine is out there with a sick looking Bauer Nexus Tracer, which has a graphic featuring the blue of the Finnish flag but also some red, maybe an amalgamation of Team Finland and his new home in Montreal? Laine is using an 87 flex with his own custom curve, almost similar to a Pro Ovi with with a totally different face.
Aleksander Barkov is out there with the Nexus 1N (a great choice), however with a Tracer graphic that is 100% Finland inspired, with the blue and white throughout. At 95 flex and with his own custom curve, a relatively flat curve with a slight toe at the end, the captain of Team Finland is looking primed to have a massive tournament.
Last but not least we have Team Sweden with some insanely fire twigs. Victor Hedman is using one of the sickest Tracer graphics we've personally ever seen, with the blue and yellow of Team Sweden adorning the stick. The way the yellow looks on this twig is unreal. Hedman uses one of the stiffest sticks in the league at 120 flex, but likes to keep his curve simple, with a P92.
Of course we have to give a shoutout to Willy Styles with his Sherwood Code Encrypt Pro with the white spray paint on the bottom. At a pretty low 75 flex and with his own custom curve, with a nice toe hook, a deep pocket but with a flat bottom, this curve has been proven to be a hit for Willy so far and there is no doubt it'll be a big reason he will light up this tournament. Did I mention you can get this exact stick at an unbeatable price at HockeyStickMan right now?
No doubt we're gonna see some more sick twigs throughout the duration of the tournament, we've got our eyes peeled and we hope that you do too! Best part of all is that you can find pro stock sticks for all these players at unbeatable prices, only at HockeyStickMan today!
