What Stick Does Sidney Crosby Use?
SPEC CHECK: SIDNEY CROSBY🐐 🐧
Our friends over @frameworthsport were kind enough to let us showcase this legendary twig as part of our weekly Spec Checks. Straight from the hands of Sidney Crosby, this gem is easily one of the coolest spec checks we’ve ever featured.
During the 2009-2010 season, Crosby was rocking the Reebok 10K, one of the first one-piece composite sticks he used after transitioning from wooden two-piece models when he first entered the league. This particular stick is game-used, making it even more special. It boasts his unique sandpaper grip along the shaft as well as his signature straight curve. While CCM associates his name with the P29 curve, Crosby’s actual pro curve is much straighter, with minimal curve. This stick is 95 flex, but Crosby has been known to use even stiffer sticks, showcasing his incredible strength. He has also noted in the past that the stiffer stick helps with puck feel, making this piece of gear not just a collector’s item but a testament to his skill and precision on the ice.
